Changes

This time we live in brings significant changes. This is manifested in everyone’s life. I am not spared from these changes either. And one of them is, let’s say, that I no longer get up on the right foot when I wake up in the morning. I started getting up on my left. The second in line could be that I shortened my hair militarily to lose weight, which is again a positive change. However, dissatisfied with this change, I immediately moved on to the third: I decided to start wearing my hair longer again. But the most significant change is that I chose not to be upset, for anything, for anyone, not even for myself. I noticed in my later years that this annoyance affects my blood pressure, which, if it is elevated, leads to other problems, etc. And as I decided to do so, I noticed that my blood pressure had returned to normal. He is neither high nor low, but just like that. And in trust, I don’t even measure the pressure. Once I measured, the way they do at the doctor’s, I stretched out my hand, rested it on my knee, and started measuring. It was relatively high. Then I just raised my hand a little higher, leaned it on the table in front of me, and when I took the measurement a second time, the pressure returned to normal. So, instead of taking blood pressure pills, I decided to raise my hand a little more when I need to, and the pressure is fine. Simply, it couldn’t be simpler.

What am I talking about? Well, I’ve noticed that many people have been diagnosed with high blood pressure lately. And then I wonder, why? Why do people get upset when they know it can cause high blood pressure? When I’m upset, I just put my hands up, and the pressure is normal. Someone looks at me ugly, I raise my hands, play with them up above my head, put them down, and the pressure is fine. Whether some energy comes from above through the hands and that pressure is regulated, I don’t know, but the most important thing is that it helps.

What a doctor I would be. A patient walks into my office. He says, “My blood pressure is high.” As he hasn’t even sat down yet, I raise my hands and say, “Let’s do this exercise. We rub our hands a little in the air, and everything will solve itself.” And the patient, at first, thinks he has come to some charlatan, to some doctor who bought a diploma who knows where. And these diploma purchases annoy many people. And this one bought a diploma here, and this one there, and he had never been there. I’m not going to digress from the main topic and will continue with the patient. He sits in a chair, and we measure his blood pressure; everything is normal. The patient cannot believe it. He thinks such a charlatan of a doctor, but he still knows his job. Whoever gave him the diploma, kudos to him! And then, when I see his serene expression, I ask him if he has any other health problems. And he says he doesn’t. I ask him if he doesn’t care who wins the election or something like that, and he hesitates. He says, well, those who I thought should win, those who can bring change, did not win. And I look at him, pityingly. And then, taking a deep breath, I ask further, do you think anyone can make a difference in your life, to love your wife and your children? Do you think that the fact that some people there will win the elections will bring peace and love to your home if there is no love and peace in your home? They are paid, I continue, to bring unrest into the human heart, into people’s souls, to distance the husband from his wife, the children from their parents, the friend from the friends; they are there to divide people and not to reconcile them. That’s their job. And the one who peaces, who establishes love, who gives strength, is invisible, so powerful that we remember him only when our soul no longer finds a way out of the porridge that these people, who are you voting for, have boiled.

My patient looks at me with slightly raised eyebrows and thinks to himself, “This is not only a charlatan, but also a philosopher.” Where did he get that diploma… And I let him fight with his thoughts, to weigh me, to look for a crack through which he could put his hand, to reach me, to feel me, to see where this philosophical thought comes from. But he fails. He asks me directly, without twisting, and from where you know all this, that they are paid to divide us, to keep me away from my wife, from my children. It’s not true. They are here to fight for a better tomorrow. I sincerely believe in that. I looked at him again, pitifully. What have I sinned against God that I have to explain everything, draw, paint…?

Yes, I answer, they are fighting for our tomorrow that never comes. You’re the one who has to fight for your future, not someone else. You are the one who needs to love your wife, not someone else; you are the one who needs to raise and teach your children, not someone else. And for everything you do, there is only you and God who protects you and gives you strength, love, and peace, to do the right thing. The only change you can expect is a change in your heart, not from others, least of all from those you choose and expect to change. These are all illusions imposed on us so that we feel we are changing something. And in fact, we can only change ourselves and our understanding of the world. And this is by listening to the messages that God so selflessly gives us. And even that blood pressure of yours. It does not exist; it has never been high or low; it has always been the way you have been in your relationship with God. If it is high, it means you were full of aggression towards yourself and towards God. When you bring your aggression back to a normal level, you may not need to raise your hands. Maybe only then, all of us, including me, just like you, will come to some normality without any demands on ourselves and the environment.

He looks at me with a pale look, a little scared, restless. Here it is, one thinks again, now I have an enlightener in front of me. And I let him think again, as he already thinks. That restless expression on his face gives him away. He looks at how to retire, get out of the office, and why he just listened to his wife to come to this charlatan, philosopher, enlightener, or whatever. It would be better if he went to the tavern and let the pressure on the will to jump or fall, as the pressure wants, and not listen to this who-knows-who. Shut up, waiting for an opportunity to sneak through the door. I get up from the table, head for the door, and open it. Here, I say: you are free; you can go; you don’t even have to pay. I’ve told you what I’ve told you so that you can see it. Maybe tomorrow you will come with other problems if you don’t solve today’s problems on your own.

He gets up indecisively, feeling uncomfortable that I read his intentions. Another question hovers over his head, he says: “So who did you vote for, you who know everything, see and hear. Tell me, who did you vote for?”

“Who would I vote for?” Is there a dilemma here? I’ve consistently voted for ours.”

“Oh,” he says, “and who are ours, you smartass?”

“Well, those who bring change,” I answer.

“So, those for whom I voted” – he interrupts with a counter-question.

“No, those who make changes are not on the ballots. They bring change through the love they carry within themselves, for God, for their family, for their friends, for their roots. And who work so quietly and devotedly on change, without much fanfare or words, and who are aware that what they are doing is the only possible path, the path that they themselves have chosen without the need for others to choose them for that path.”
